China icons reaches 2.5 millions view on YouTube

It’s one of Meridian Line Films first and longest running projects, and this week we saw our YouTube Channel, China Icons, reach more than 2.5 million viewers.

Our first ever 4K video – revealing the launch of a rail link between London and Yiwu, North West China – pushed us over the mark.

China Icons is becoming the go-to place for information on China for international audiences across the globe.

From science and tech to Chinese culture and travel, China Icons has something for everyone. One of our most successful videos, with over a quarter of a million views, is a short documentary on FAST, the world’s largest telescope. Built in a natural, 45 million-year-old crater, the 500m dish may help scientists further understand the origin of our universe.

Another popular video features one of China’s most famous icons, the panda. And not just one – but triplets. With only 1800 pandas left in the world, these triplets are the only set in the world and were born and raised at Chimelong Safarai Park.
