Meridian Line Films commissioned to produce two high profile series for international broadcasters

Meridian Line Films are currently in production of two series on China for major international broadcasters, taking our teams far and wide – from Mongolian grasslands to the bustling high-tech hubs of Shenzhen; from the lush subtropics of Guizhou to the valleys of Shanxi.

One series explores the 40th anniversary of the start of China’s ‘Opening Up and Reform’, through the eyes of ordinary Chinese people who lived throughout it. Using a mix of extraordinary archive, personal testimony and graphics, the series reveals how China’s economy, industry, culture and lifestyles have changed over the last 4 decades.

Our second production follows a team of presenters on a personal journey through rural China, immersing themselves 24/7 by living and working with local families.
